A KID’S MIND

The following post is brought to you by my 9 year old kid. She has inserted herself into my blog life and has intrigued me by stating she would like to share with grown ups, what is in “A KID’S MIND”. So I’m allowing her free reign to write her very own first blog post. Because we are all dying to know what is in their little minds, aren’t we?

So without further delay, I give you ” A KID’S MIND” below. Please do allow room for grammatical errors.  It’s really quite fascinating, if you can keep up. Note the recurring “quality time” theme. (Picture mom with a raised eyebrow here).

Ps. I didn’t even pay her to put the wonder-parent plug at the end.

Hello! I’m April.

And welcome to a kid’s mind. And I’ll be telling you parents what is in a kid’s mind. Because I’m 9 years old. And obviously in school. Yeah, I’ve said enough. Now it’s time to take a trip to a kid my age’s mind.

If your child is constantly (and I mean like 10 times a day) asking for playdates, or always not wanting to visit with the family and is locked up in their room and doesn’t want to come out….I have the answer to why.

I’m not telling you now.

Just kidding.

Ha.

The answer is : they have a ………………CRUSH!!

Sometimes this isn’t the case but chances are, it is the case. So be careful for kid crushes because they are more common than you think. I have a friend, let’s name her Alisa. She has a crush and she was always talking about it and kept telling me about it. I was the only person she told, which means her mom and dad, had no clue.  To them, she was just locked up in her room all the time.

That’s it for today. Bye. See you next time.

Just kidding again. We’re not done at all!

Anyway, if your kid is always sad and gloomy, I Have just the answer and the cure to that….your kid wants more quality time with you. If that isn’t the case, well, I guess you’ll have to teach your kid not to be so sad all the time.

Two cures for sadness:

1- Spend more quality time with them.  Quality time to me means: doing something the kid wants with you.

2- Go to wonder-parent.com and you will see what to do , under the PARENTING tab, to make them not sad all the time.

That’s it folks.

From April, signing out.
